Laurie Peter
My name is Laurie, and I understand that buying or selling real estate is one of the most significant decisions you'll make in your life. These choices not only impact your quality of life but also determine where you'll create lasting memories with family and friends. Whether you're searching for your first home, a larger space for a growing family, or a peaceful retreat for retirement or vacation, each stage of life deserves a special place to call home.
My journey in real estate began in 2006 as the Marketing Director for an independently-branded real estate firm in a resort market. This role allowed me to quickly learn the business, and by 2013, I shifted my focus entirely to working with clients, including brokers, agents, and real estate firms. My background in Marriott hospitality later helped me transition into an Airbnb Superhost, where I emphasized providing a personal luxury standard of service.
In the fall of 2023, I joined Summit Sotheby's International Realty, the Utah-based affiliate of the global Sotheby's Realty brand. Before that, I was affiliated with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, where I worked on a successful agent team, gaining invaluable, hands-on experience navigating Utah's real estate market. Choosing a brokerage that aligns with my values, service standards, and work ethic is essential in today's evolving industry. Partnering with the award-winning professionals at Summit Sotheby's International Realty allows me to focus entirely on my clients and their real estate goals, regardless of location or price point.
Over the years, I've learned that each client is unique, with their own specific needs and desires. Building a strong partnership through clear communication and mutual trust is key to creating a lasting relationship. Your referral of my services to family, friends, and acquaintances is the highest compliment I could ever receive.
I was raised in Southern Wisconsin, amidst fields, cows and great cheese! After earning a degree in hospitality from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, I moved to Denver, Colorado, where I spent four years working in sales and event planning at Marriott hotels. The allure of the Colorado mountains eventually led me to Steamboat Springs, and later to Sun Valley, Idaho, where I spent 16 wonderful years in charming ski resort towns. I found that the desert lifestyle beautifully complimented my love for the mountains, and Southern Utah, especially St. George, quickly became our new favorite place.
When I'm not helping clients, my family and I enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle-mountain biking, hiking, golfing, skiing, and camping. Red Bull Rampage, PGA and Ironman are our favorite events to spectate. Our two sons, ages nine and six, keep my husband, Jason, and me on our toes, and we wouldn't have it any other way!
